NXP GTL products consist of open drain translators and GTL-to-TTL translators.

The GTL/TTL translators allow for robust communication between a GTL backplane and a TTL processor or a GTL processor and TTL silicon. The GTL processor voltage clamps are used to ease chipset legacy I/O migration to lower processor voltage levels. These voltage clamps protect the GTL processor by clamping off the higher chipset voltage, thus avoiding any voltage level mismatch.
